The Leo Triplet (or the M66 Galaxy group) is a small group of galaxies that lie approximately 35 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. This small galaxy group is comprised of three galaxies. M65, M66 and NGC 3628. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leo_Triplet The second image shows a recent supernova in M65. The supernova was first reported ont the 21st of March, 10 days before this image was acquired. ABOUT THE IMAGE DATE/TIME: The evening of March 31st, 2013.
